Grande Victorian Wedding

A classic wedding at the Grande Victorian with modern details.

L + T got married this past spring at the The Grande Victorian near Charlotte, North Carolina. Their wedding was romantic and timeliness all while incorporating some wedding trends I think we will keep seeing throughout the 2023/2024 wedding season.

A wedding tip I include in my wedding experience guide is to include anything and everything in your detail box. Wedding flatlays are the perfect opportunity to showcase unique parts of your relationship in the smallest of ways. If you love to travel, include some vintage postage stamps or postcards. If you love crystals, include some of your favorite rocks. If your first date ended with a walk on the beach, include a seashell. Or if you are like the Bride above and you love oysters- bring an oyster shell for your flatlay too! Giving your photographer lots of things to pick and choose from help us create beautiful wedding flatlays like the one above! Another tip I always tell my Bride’s is to ask your florist for a few loose florals. They are able to bring an element of texture and a pop of color to your details! The back and white checkered flooring made the perfect backdrop for their flatlay- and their emerald details popped so elegantly.

An elegant reception with trendy details.

The tablescapes at their wedding reception were very classic and romantic- with a modern twist! A runner of baby’s breath lined the head table and cascaded down the sides elegantly. They chose black tablecloths, gold chargers, and included a trendy neon sign on a natural backdrop. After their intimate ceremony, we spent time some exploring the lawn of the manor and their romantic gardens. When golden hour came to an end, we hopped on the direct flash trend and captured some sweet moments on and around the staircase of the mansion. After they finished their portraits, they danced the night away and ate a delicious late night snack (PIZZA)!
