The Providence Cotton Mill is always my number one recommendation for couples looking for the best wedding venue in North Carolina. I have had the pleasure to document so many love stories at this stunning historic wedding venue, and feel so luck to say that I am one of the preferred vendors on their list. Naturally, I was ecstatic to learn I would be back to celebrate Adam and Lisa’s romantic wedding. Nestled in the small town of Maiden, North Carolina, The Providence Cotton Mill’s high ceilings, open air feel, and flood of natural light make this wedding venue a photographer’s dream. It is such a rarity to find a wedding venue that not only has a stunning outdoor space, but an interior that makes implementing a rain plan feel like an upgrade.

Adam and Lisa decided to have an indoor ceremony, which is my personal favorite option for ceremonies at The Providence Cotton Mill. When you opt to have your ceremony indoors, you know that your ceremony will have the perfect lighting, pleasurable weather, and the unique backdrop of the Mill’s famous exposed brick and windows. Additionally, you have the option to get those stunning ceremony photos from the second level of the mill you see below!

The Providence Cotton Mill’s 30ft ceilings, large arched windows, and textured walls create a space that is malleable to any vision. Having a wedding venue with a blank canvas like this one creates so many opportunities to bring your wedding planning vision to life. Adam and Lisa’s vision had a chic, modern, and minimalist feel. The greenery from their organic inspired wedding arch was the perfect pop of color in their otherwise neutral color palette. The other element that stood out to me the most from their ceremony set up was the candle lined aisle for the Bride to walk down. After their ceremony, we spent golden hour taking portraits in the stunning field outside the mill and the unique greenery wall in the cocktail hour space.
